Diona's Paws

Ever since we got confirmation that Diona canonically has kitty cushions on her hands (and thus, most probably, feet) I expected people will course correct and start drawing her with this in mind.

But no...Can't find a single pixiv post drawing her with them when not wearing clothes.

Made a little tutorial area too, up to a checkpoint.

Next, it's time to make some levels and actually make a little demo.

Got back to the tank game after a while. Taught slimes how to shoot and added moving platforms.

Getting close to having all the basic common elements to make a simple game.

Soon it will be time for level design.

Inspired Style test

Got really into the art by Anterdel recently (https://anterdel.fanbox.cc) so I went on and studied some of their pieces to try figure out the style, especially for the coloring and lineart feel. Was very educational.

All that is left is some reframing, text rewrite and camera work.

Quick image set is turning into a visual novel

I was making an image set story recently and got inspired to turn it into a visual novel, so I coded a system up today and have a screenshot to share :D

Now all that's left is to get the art and the writing in there, easy.

And inevitably some polish and bugfixes.

I have been rewriting parts of the movement code recently to enable easier reuse of the jumping and walking logic so I can give enemies more options.

So now I can sort of easily set up floating/sliding variants.

I made some progress on that tank game that required rearranging the animation system from before so I can support more variations in functionality, but things are looking good :D

Brainstorming Drawpiles for new Colab Comic

Been working on reference sheets for a new Drawpile Colab comic (format like the Dream of Cats) with nahomira. I figured I might as well share the whole original drawpile with the fans as a bonus and then post the polished goblin poses for everyone.

As usual, what started as a plan for a simple animation loop ended up being way more xD It will take a while but I am working on a longer animation with Jellymon based on the previous set I made (https://powerofsin.fanbox.cc/posts/2982141) The WIP is still rather rough, quite a bit will change but I finally got it in a state where I can share something that is readable xD Guess this will be my animated project over the next month.

Forgotten to post updates on this here, but have been working on a system for a metroidvania game.

I will first use it for a simple platformer, for the most part.

So far I got the character set up with shooting freshly implemented today. Learning quite a lot about Godot 4 while fiddling with this.
