This is my alata tropical pitcher plant, it is my sole carnivorous plant I care for! This fella can produce many many pitchers that can get up to 8 inches in length! They can fit many things inside~ It is a carnivorous plant so it can eat insects, lizards, and small rodents that will slip and fall inside its hanging pitchers. I can also feed it too~! It is an amazing plant and perfect for my tropical themed...

Hello from the car! 🚙✨ Today I went on an adventure to see if there were salt left over on rocks by the tide. Here in the islands, when the water splashes onto the rocks, sometimes when they dry, they leave piles of salt! The sea salt. Salt pools can be found all over the island. This week I will begin mapping out the pond! I am so excited to build it. The most exciting parts will be planting the marsh plants and adding marine life. I hope to add fresh water shrimp, snail, and a handful of extra small fish. Lotus, lily, taro plants will be the first marsh plants added. 🪷
