New Print Tier Ideas

I've been working on some new tier reward ideas alongside the Maisie short over the past couple of months, and I think I'm probably going to be in a position to have them go live soon.

I've tried working out what would have some added value and be unique and wouldn't distract too much from making the actual comic - but if there are some things you'd really like to see me have a go at (I'm torn on sticker sets, for instance) - let me know in the comments.

Page 4! Apologies for the delay.

Had a hectic couple of weeks, which is to blame for how long this has taken to finish.

You may have seen it on Instagram, but Muffin Topp's now stocked in Henk Comics in Amsterdam! I visited there on a recent trip and thought it was great, and thought Amsterdam itself may be more sympathetic to an adult sex comedy comic.

As of yesterday, there are a couple of copies in Gosh! in Soho in London, too. I'll post some photos when I've formatted ...

Maisie's Hair - While You Were Sleeping

Maisie's about to make her entrance in the current short, and I've not been able to make a 100% decision on her hair. She's coming home from a night out, so wanted to give her something different to her usual style.

Her outfit's fine, since she won't be in it for long.

I’ve been signing the comics as they’ve been going out with a more natural signature, so I might adopt that for everything from now on. Always wanted to go for more of a Milt Caniff/Frank Robbins kind of thing.

Maisie's Photos

The main action of the next short I'm working on takes place pretty much exclusively in Maisie's living room, so I wanted to give her a featured photo wall behind her couch.

Tried suggesting a wider world out there with them, and also introduce the characters debuting in this short and how close they already are with Maisie and Alex.

That last musical themed fancy dress photo is something I want to expand on. Maybe it's worth it's own strip in the future.

Sketchbook Pages - April 2nd

Here's a few recent sketchbook pages since completing part four.

I'm running into the next short starring Maisie and need to flesh out her Husband Alex and his friends, which is why I'm mainly looking at guys in this bunch. Wanted to try to push the exaggeration in the cartooning as well, as I've cycled back round to admiring Dupuy & Berberian's books recently and thought my drawing in general was getting a bit stiff.

Printing Experiment- Endpapers

I've ordered a print version of part one from Mixam, as they allow NSFW content for print on demand comics.

It's just an experiment at the minute. I don't think I'll have the confidence to stand behind a table selling this at cons (as proud as I am of it), so it'll primarily be for some kind of print reward tier here and perhaps some one off one shots.

Here's the end paper spread I put together for it - it looked good in the proof, hope it looks just as good in person!

Muffin Topp #4 - Patron Edition

Here's the Patron exclusive edition of part 4!

I've added a small sketchbook section to the back, and it includes the Sam and Hugo scene from the issue's finale that won't be in the general retail version of the issue that'll go in my store. I've added that version here too for completism sake.

I've re-used the Muffin pin up I did a while ago for both versions of the covers. I try to avoid that sort of thing in case it comes across as lazy, but I thought it worked well as a counte...
