Thanksgiving use to be a rough holiday for me- my family (although I very much love them) use to get together and just spew negativity. The table for dinner was usually tense and uncomfortable. A time of year to air out grievances with no resolutions. In college, I even asked my mom if I could please get a pass some years to either celebrate alone or with friends. And of course Iโd make up for it for an extended time at Christmas. She was kind enough to understand and let me take a few breaks. I was the youngest in my family for almost 21 years- once kids started gracing the holiday, it put everyone in a much lighter mood and gave me a fun table to sit at ๐ If you are dreading this holiday or feeling low- I absolutely understand and am sending you so much love ๐
