Added 2020-04-13 20:44:10 +0000 UTCBetter Bunny Pics π° I had a stressful afternoon trying to look after my mother sheβs quite vulnerable to pressure and sales people but can be very condescending to me believing Iβm over dramatic, non experienced & I βover spend her moneyβ π. Sheβd accepted someone to paint her roof boards who quoted her at just under Β£2000 for 3 men for 3-4 days. As soon as I heard that quote I freaked out asking her for the written quote and how they had come to that figure. She hadnβt got a written quote, the professional painter of the group hadnβt site visited to quote, they didnβt specify if they were sanding it all prior and she didnβt even know who was actually coming to paint sheβd never seen his previous work he was just a friend of her gardeners after sheβd asked him to paint for her. I told her she should delay them while I could confirm how and why they were charging that amount and get a second a opinion. But they said told her they had already brought the paint, theyβd moved all their work and she could pay them later on after the job or in instalments so she didnβt cancel them instead agreeing to instalments π€¦πΌββοΈ I immediately called the professional painter I knew and he said she should likely be paying a 1/3 of that cost!! So I insisted she cancel telling her you canβt afford this. She got so upset because she was embarrassed that sheβd got her self in this hole she then turned on me saying I was bullying & pressuring her too π In the end they are cancelled and funnily enough when asked for receipts to compensate them on paint they claimed they already brought they did not send any π€ My professional is quoting tomorrow ππ» And I have consumed half a bottle of wine this evening after today π€¦πΌββοΈπ°π€―π΄ππΌββοΈ
