Broken Memories! Light NSFW!

{15th July 1992}

{Rigel's POV}

The tome pulsed above me slowly like a second heart. Its metamorophical glow shivered in the dim chamber, and every time it flared I felt another vision clawing me in. Nalini's nails scratched faint crescents into my back, whether she meant to hold on or push me away was unclear, but her eyes were currently rolled into the back of her head. Our link dragged her into this as much as me. With each vision my knowledge about human anatony became clearer, though how effective it would be in practice remains to be seen.

The book pulesed and I was drawn in again. The memories poured in like a tide.

---

A chest wound.

A dagger embedded itself between ribs, piercing the heart with surgical precision. The body was still, limbs stiff, sagging lifelessly. Blood bubbled out in weak, slowing pulses making it clear that the person had died not long ago, painting the slab beneath. The smell of iron clung to everything, sharp and suffocating.

Dhanvantri's/my fingers sank into the wound, parting bone with mana-forced leverage until the cavity gaped wide. The heart seemed like was a ruined knot of muscle, blood pooling uselessly out of it. He pressed his palms against it, his magic running like cold water through ventricles and arteries. Threads of mana stitched torn tissue, coaxing it to beat again, afterwards his mana flushed the newborn musccles. At first it convulsed unevenly, an animal trying to run on broken legs. Then rhythm returned, weak but steady.

Dhanvantri's emotions didn't lag. There was no pity, nor a sense of triumph. Only another entry in a long ledger.

---

"Don't stoppp~" I came back from the vision only to look into Nalini's eyes, her gaze was now focused as she grinded her hips against my pelvis. I looked into her eyes for a moment and obliged, our forms blurring into a rythemic display as we devolved the small room with lewder and lewder sounds as the firm grip she had on her lips had been dissolved.

"Fuuckk Fuucckkk Do it harderrr Ahhghghgh"

---

A stomach torn open greeted me next.

A blade had sliced clealny through it from side to side, spilling bile and half-digested food in a puddle. The stench was acidic, sharp enough to burn the back of my throat. I would have gagged it I had control over my muscles but Dhanvantri wasn't faced. He ignored it, with a fluick of his hands vanished the sludge aside. His hand now hovered, briefly touching the sliced clean edges of the ragged flesh, and mana wrapped threads began working around the injury, pulling tissue together. He layered what seemed like bandages made of his mana over the woundas his intent to heal and support burned through. First the insides, then the stomach knitted closed, trembling like an animal refusing the leash, but it held.

---

The next vision came quick intermingled within motions of europhic bliss.

---

This one was focused on the intestines.

A rupture so severe coils of gut spilled from a penetrated abdomen, slick ropes glistening in torchlight. The air thickened with fecal stench, heavy enough to gag. His hands waved through the air, now not needing to get close as the ropes of glowing green mana connected his hands to the injury as he easily stitched together and then healed the torn hole. Another instance this time he focused was to keep a layer of mana to wash each injury with an intent to ward them against infection, then sealed the injury shut. The body convulsed once, bowels spasming, before falling still as another person was healed.

---

I blinked back into myself, and bile surged hot at the back of my throat. Nalini whimpered low, breath hitching, but didn't let go. Her body shook like a trembling leaf as she moaned into oblivion.

The tome pulsed again as vision came after me one after another.

---

A slash across muscle.

The blow tore shoulder to hip, severing skin and meat in a ragged canyon. Blood gushed fast, pattering against stone, pooling dark around the body's flank. The fibers of muscle hung loose like strands of rope, twitching.

Dhanvantri pressed his palm over the wound. His mana didn't seal it—not yet. First he mapped each strand, every fiber quivering under invisible touch. One by one, he aligned them, knitting layer over layer, until the canyon filled. Skin drew over last, puckered and pale but intact. He whispered something about scar formation, noted how mana resisted overbinding, then cut a fresh line just below it to test the difference.

---

The knife bit flesh again. Another slash. Another lesson. I was already noticing that through each vision Dhanvatri had made rapid progress, his experience at dealing with injuries increasing rapidly but the tome never showed any memories aside from him learning to heal. It also likely was influencing me somewhat as I realize that my mind was become more resilent against the horrific injuries as well as the casual ease at which he pulled his body apart.

The tome pulsed harder. This time the light ran red as I was pulled into another vision.

---

A burn.

The body was charred, skin blistered and peeling and cracking in sheets. The stench was unbearable—burnt hair, cooked flesh, acrid smoke that clung to everything. He sliced away the dead layers cleanly, exposing raw red muscles underneath. Mana poured through like water, gone were the mana strings that attached and healed the injuries, now his mana configured into thin sheets that kept everything together as it fused with the injury, a concept that he likely advanced through his use of bandages from last vision. The healing process was simplified as the coated mana coaxed skin to regrow. New flesh bubbled, shiny and fragile, until the wound smoothed over with pink skin.

---

The next vision held the first signs of spell damage. A curse wound.

The flesh blackened not from heat but from spreading rot. Veins spidered with inky cracks, carrying corruption outward from a tiny puncture. His hands pressed down, but the rot ate through his mana as he stitched. The mana sheets healed the wound as his mana strings fought of the mana submerged in the wound. He snarled a counterword, his mana strings started to wash through the corrupted magic. The body spasmed, limbs jerking, mouth frothing. He burned, purged, forced clean tissue to regrow.

---

The next vision focused on dealing with Mana poisoning. Excessive treatement from healing magic could lead to breaking the patients innate mana resistance which leads to the ambient mana seeping into the wounds and the bodys capability to keep its own mana inside becomes compromised.

Excess magic bled out through skin like light through cracks in glass. He grunted about idiocasy of casting healing charms without knowing how to treat injuries as he splashed a potion on the injury and used mundane methods like bandages to contain the wounds as he snarled a charm to keep the ambient mana away.

---

I tore myself back with a gasp my dick pulsed inside her slick walls as I arched my back. My body slick with sweat, my heart hammering as I digested both the vision and knowledge as well as focused on the lithe form underneath me. Nalini clung to me, her breath ragged, her face pale flushed as she looked at me with bleary eyes. Her mana sung a satisfied tone as she looked at the book behind me in greed.

The tome still glowed above, brighter now, pages turning in the air as it moved to the next set of memories.

I licked dry lips, forcing breath steady as her hands glided down to my hips and pulled.

'No time like the present isn't it,' I thought as I activated pleasue lock. If she is going to gain access to good magic like it was elluding to, I need some take some more preacautions.

AN: Happy Diwali everyone.
