The Submarine takes shape.
Added 2025-08-31 16:37:11 +0000 UTCI showed you all the underwater delivery bay for the Submarine, and now here it is in action!
The sub itself is a prop from the underwater sub pen set- it looks like the front end of an LA class and the back of a Trafalgar class, and by default it comes with markings which say 'USMC'. I used a 100-square grid superimposed on the texture skin to work out which part I needed to make transparent, so that the scratch-built bay fits nicely inside the hull of the sub. It looks decent enough from a distance. I've done a few test renders to see what it will look like in action with the underwater camera, and I'm quite happy with the result.
