Maple Pass Loop
Added 2024-09-20 07:14:11 +0000 UTCThey say nothing good comes easy and that's definitely true of my experience hiking the Maple Pass trail in Washington. Boy was it a trek uphill. We basically experienced all four seasons on this epic 6-7 mile hike in Washington's North Cascades in late August. We started out with crisp cool air in the morning before the afternoon sun starting beating down halfway through. As we got higher and higher in elevation towards the end it actually started snowing, which was pretty unforgettable. The last few photos in this set are from right before the snow started and you can probably tell I was freezing my ass off!
Unfortunately, we were a bit too early to see the spectacular fall colors that this trail is known for during its peak season, but I think if we went later we probably wouldn't have been able to shoot nudes. I'm surprised we managed to shoot here at all, actually; it's a very popular hike and we had to grab these shots very quickly during the few opportunities we were granted where it was safe to strip down. Honestly, these images don't due to justice to how breaktaking the views are here; this is just what we managed to pull off!
