Volcanic rocks
Added 2024-06-26 22:10:52 +0000 UTCThis location near June Lake in Mono county is basically a mountain of volcanic glass created by a blast many centuries ago; basically a dome was created out of lava which solidified to form these boulders. As you hike up you get to see lots of shiny black obsidian interspersed with pumice as well as lovely views of the surrounding landscape.
