A sturdy wooden bridge over the town’s river is always a good place to be held up by corrupt guardsmen, ambushes, kappa, trolls, or revolutionaries. Whether forest or farmlands, this map pack should help you out.
This is yet another remaster of a Miscellanea Maps original!
Thoughts
This pack was originally based on the Old North Bridge of Boston fame — chosen in part because back in 2021 I had just played through Fallout 4 again & it was Independence Day at the time of first release.
For an alternative inspiration, you might want to look at Togetsukyō, a rather nice bridge in Arashiyama, Kyōto.
Hide snipers in the surrounding trees. Have someone draw the party into an ambush.

Forest Bridge: A sturdy bridge over cold blue water in the midst of a forest.
Lightbridge A mystical construct left behind by the last empire. Or possibly still possessed by the last empire. Watch out!
No Bridge: Because this is what happens when the lightbridge is disabled. Or maybe there just wasn’t a bridge to begin with! Maybe a ferry replaced it.
Water Spirit: An enormous winged creature blocks the path of your crossing!
Poisoned River: Might actually be algae, or pollution.
Old North Bridge: Directly inspired by the bridge of the same name & design in Boston, Massachusetts. Get your history lessons in!
Revolution: Oh, hey, just look at the time — it’s violent uprising o’clock. Local insurgents have taken over a chokepoint & think they can withstand the kingsmen!
Day/Night/Rain Variants: Wherever applicable!

I have at this point just about run out of East Asia maps to remaster, so we may get into remasters my old Rome & Greece maps in August.
