Attacks with this magical weapon gain a +1 bonus to Attack and Damage rolls.
Helping Hand - The severed hand at the pommel contains a sort of unlife that allows for a level of sentience. While wielding it, it clasps its fingers around your wrist so that you cannot be disarmed of the blade or otherwise forced to drop it. While doing so, your hand below the wrist appears as corpse-life as the one attached to the sword.
Sickening Strike - When a creature is dealt damage by this weapon, it must make a DC11 Constitution saving throw. Failure: The creature becomes infected with the disease Sewer Plague (DMG pg.61).
Grab & Stab - As an Action to make a special Attack Roll against a target. You may choose to make this a Ranged Attack, with a range of 15/45. On a hit, the hand clasps firmly to the creature. At the start of that creature’s turn, it takes 2d6 Piercing damage, as the sword violently stabs at them.
A creature grabbed by the sword may use their Action to attempt to escape, by making a DC18 Strength saving throw. If the hand is dislodged, it will attempt to drag itself back to its owner, with a movement speed of 20.
Unliving Weapon - This blade contains a spark of Unlife. If in the area of an ability or spell that Turns undead or otherwise repels them, attacks with the blade are made at Disadvantage until the effect has passed. Additionally, while under those effects, the sword’s Helping Hand and Grab & Stab abilities do not function.
