“This exotic weapon was made from the supposed fossilized remains of a mythical creature. The Dragosaurus. Said to be the missing link between the ancient dinosaurs and mystical dragons of today.
This viciously sharp, hooked weapon, while a little strange to behold, is full of ingenious design with it’s several functions. It’s partially hollow design allows it to defy gravity and slice through opponents at a distance while creating a haunting melody.”
You gain a +1 to attack rolls with this magical weapon and deal an additional 1d4 Slashing damage on a successful attack.
Light - A light weapon is small and easy to handle, making it ideal for use when fighting with two weapons.
Range - A weapon that can be used to make ranged attacks. The above range lists two numbers. The first is the weapon’s normal range in feet, and the second in parenthesis indicates the weapon’s long range.
When attacking a target beyond normal range, you have disadvantage on the attack roll. You can’t attack a target beyond the weapon’s long range.
Thrown - If a weapon has the thrown property, you can throw the weapon to make a ranged attack. If the weapon is a melee weapon, you use the same ability modifier for that attack roll and damage roll that you would use for a melee attack with the weapon.
Special - This weapon functions as both a Sickle (melee attacks) and a Boomerang (ranged attacks). All attacks with the weapon deal Slashing damage and when thrown, the weapon always returns to your hand after an attack.
Additionally, this strange weapon can also be used as a Flute, granting you proficiency in the instrument if you do not already have it.
Song of the Dragosaurus - When an ally within 60 ft. of you fails a Saving Throw, you can use your Reaction to let them reroll the save and add a bonus equal to the number of allies within 60 ft. of them. They must use the new roll. You may use this feature once per Long Rest.
Galeforce Strike - When you hit a creature with an attack with this weapon, you can empower the strike with rushing winds to forcibly push the creature 15 ft. in any direction. You may use this feature a number of times equal to your Proficiency modifier per Short or Long rest.
Call the Spirit - Housed inside the crystals embedded in this weapon is the spirit of the ancient beast whose bones were used in its creation. The Dragosaurus.
As an action you can literally call upon the great spirit’s power by loudly calling its name in battle to temporarily empower your weapon beyond its normal capabilities. You gain access to the empowered version of the weapon’s stat and changes listed below.
