Added 2024-04-30 22:50:26 +0000 UTCFirst set of pages- trying out water colors! Featuring blueberries with leaves and some raspberries as well to try a different hue. This is my first time testing out watercolors so it was a bit difficult to learn how to blend them/layer on the color. At the top I made a messs with the water (oops) and turned it into a area for the name label instead! I added some bright pink highlights to stick out on the blue color as well and make it pop.
Second set of pages- first page has a German owl pigeon, a weevil, and a large vase of flowers fanning off the sides inspired by large pink flowers I once saw (no idea what the name of them is). Second page is a ringneck dove perched on a branch of berries and a set of eggs! A large spread with birds, they're definitely fun to sketch out.
