Today's post is 'The Quiet Road', expanding on the Point-Crawl Print Outs. A collection of tables and abstract maps for your gaming sessions. πΊ π
Use the tables within to generate atmosphere and story prompts when travelling between destinations. With a focus on surroundings, rather than generic combat encounters, use The Quiet Road to mix things up and create a sense of intrigue to over-world traversal.

From the book: 'The Quiet Road contains a collection of tables to roll upon when travelling between prominent locations. These sights, sounds, smells and emotional triggers are meant for the creation of atmosphere, more so than generic combat encounters. Use the outcomes to build a scene within your mind, and to create tensions or moments of beauty upon the quiet roadways of the wilderness or kingdoms of your world. The Road-Crawl sections provide abstract maps for different biome areas, and space to take notes on things that might be found, or sites that can be visited at crossroads or at the end of trails when a wrong turn is taken. Roll on as many tables as you need to spark ideas and picture the road ahead.'
