Hello everyone!

Even though the update release is already partially out, I won't break tradition and will give you the monthly Dev Report for June.

Most of my time, understandably, was spent on polishing the game, fixing bugs, and preparing the update for release. I couldn't add everything I wanted to in this update, such as cutscenes in the video gallery or voiceovers for some characters, but I'm working on these and plan to include them in a small update for the second act.

So, let’s dive into the work done.

Main Menu

I don't know about you, but I am thrilled with the new Main Menu. I spent a considerable amount of time perfecting Oni's pose and the scene's lighting. The custom sound design fits it perfectly.

Narrative

While the main storyline was already complete, I was working on the background stories almost until the update's release. Since my English isn't the best, the translation required a lot of effort.

Cutscenes

I managed to create all the cutscenes for the second act that I had planned. Initially, I didn’t think about adding alternative versions of cutscenes, but in my opinion, it was worth the effort.

Outfits

A lot of time went into designing new costumes for Oni. I think they turned out quite authentic and fit well into the game world.

Hairstyles

Getting the new hairstyle (Ponytail Long) to work correctly was a challenge. While everything seemed fine, the physics for the new hairstyle had a mind of its own in cutscenes, so I had to partially disable the hair physics in those scenes. Another new hairstyle will be included in the next update for the second act.

Collectible Cards

The update 0.2.0 brought more collectible cards (16). I believe this was a nice addition for exploring the new locations.

I won’t go into detail about the visual tweaks, balance adjustments, and sound effects, as I constantly work on these.

In the next month, I plan to release update 0.2.1, which will include the video gallery, a new hairstyle, background stories, and more. After that, I will start working on the third act.
