3D Floor Plan and Design for Heidi's Barbershop and Apartment
Added 2025-03-25 02:19:17 +0000 UTCSo Taymac, a fellow hair focused artist and friend, mentioned she uses a program called House Design 3D to help her do room drawings. If you've followed me for a while, you know i have a hatred for drawing backgrounds. So naturally, I bought it and got bust learning how to setup room plans that seem feasible. My idea was Hedid's shop is on the lower floor of a renovated apartment complex, and she lives in a small apartment upstairs. It is her family's old home, with her being a 3rd generation barber. I debated on how many chairs she would have. She usually works it alone, but one for washing, one for cutting, and two dryers (yes, those are scaled up desk lamps cuz the program has limited appliances) seemed a good setup. Overall I'm sure people with actual architecture degrees would have an aneurism for something i have done, but it works for my purposes. I like the idea of seeing both Heidi's work life and domestic life so close to each other. Oh, and I made her a cat person on a whim.
I may eventually build out the street view outside as well, but that's a project for another day. Let me know your thoughts below.

Tbh i had completely forgotten about that christmas thing. Let’s just ignore whatever the floor design was in that one as being generic, but the overall idea of an apartment on top of her barbershop still works for both. And good luck. The program is honestly not too hard to understand and learn. It’ll save me a ton of time in the future

The one from the X-Mas/burglary story you did. Will this show up in your stories? You can do one of two methods: Heidi and company scalled to fit in the render, or same except you put the render below an extra layer and trace. The first method may be quicker but the second won't distract with two different mediums. Again, good job. Now I gotta try it, as yet another distract from projects I should be working on.
