This episode is in reference to the Disney Afternoon show, Adventures of the Gummi Bears. The formula that was so important was the gummi berry juice, able to temporarily give the drinker super strength and the ability to bounce.

2025-01-15 17:26:14 +0000 UTCI'm so excited to hear more of your theories in upcoming episodes!

2025-01-04 07:46:45 +0000 UTCI would agree. The design, plus its placement on an Island, is to close to be a coincidence.

2025-01-03 21:53:45 +0000 UTCI know! They get so close, but so far.

2024-12-31 22:11:19 +0000 UTCI keep forgetting sometime that she missed out on the Disney afternoon and have now been reminded of how fudging old I am getting

2024-12-29 18:05:17 +0000 UTCHell, I'd love to see Elijah react to all the Disneytoon intros from the late 80s to mid 90s. OG Ducktales, Rescue Rangers, Winnie the Pooh, Goof Troop - all the classics! 😄 Don't know if that's possible, but it'd be great fun. It'd be like prehistoric media for her.

2024-12-29 16:03:30 +0000 UTCFucking calm down, Elijah, how many ladies are you gonna fawn over?! 😋😈

2024-12-29 11:16:16 +0000 UTCyou have no idea how hard I am biting my tongue right now hearing your theories, you are so close to nail, and yes I would love to see you react to Gummi Bears at the very least the bop that is the theme song

2024-12-29 01:31:39 +0000 UTCit's a shame that the webby secret won't be revealed until season 3

2024-12-28 22:10:15 +0000 UTCI'm pretty sure the bubble thing is an homage to the 60s show "The Prisoner."
David Johnson
2024-12-28 22:05:37 +0000 UTCMind you, they can't *technically* be part of the Duck universe as there were actual humans in that show...but maybe they were traveling across dimensions or something.

2024-12-28 22:04:43 +0000 UTCGreat Reaction Elijah and that jacket your Mom made you is so wicked awesome So Glad You Had A Great Christmas with your family and Mosco Have a Wonderful Day & Can’t Wait For Your Next Ducktales reaction 😊
Pamela Kibildis
2024-12-28 21:54:29 +0000 UTCAgree with Elijah and Mosco on the tea bag thing. They cost cheaply enough to use once. No pennies saved is worth the same pale wet bag of overly diluted leaves used in one month. Scrooge, you should be rich enough to have standards. Iroh would be ashamed and insulted. 🤢🤣
Liam Gradwell
2024-12-28 21:05:44 +0000 UTCIt is fun to see a less old Scrooge be more devil-may-care like that. Not just in his approach, but what he was even going after for adventures; seems to have been less interested in things than he was in antics and interesting people.

2024-12-28 20:47:47 +0000 UTCThis episode was an homage to another Disney Afternoons show called "Disney's Adventures of the Gummi Bears". The titular Bears made and drank a concoction called Gummi Berry Juice which gave them the bouncing powers you see and hear (same sound effects as the old show) here. An evil king wanted to get the recipe because (for some reason) the juice made humans super strong instead. I think you'd have liked it. Sunni Gummi and Princess Calla in specific for being the thrillseeking girls in the show. Maybe a one-off (one episode) reaction or Discord watch party at some point? I'm very interested to hear the result of your combined brainstorm with Mosco. You both had some very similar observations.

2024-12-28 20:43:58 +0000 UTCThat's an awesome looking jacket! Nice to back into these reactions too. Really looking forward to more DT in particular because there's a lot of episodes I'm super into watching you react to. One in particular above all the others, because it's my favourite in the show, and up there in cartoon episodes in general honestly. But it's a season 2 episode, so it'll be a while.
Bailey
2024-12-28 20:34:16 +0000 UTCThat is a pretty slick looking jacket.

2024-12-28 20:11:17 +0000 UTCThe "mysterious creatures" on the page at the auction are the Gummi Bears from the early '90s Disney Channel show. Apparently there was some kind of legal issue that kept them from appearing in person but a drawing was okay. Also, Heron's line "Bouncing here and there and everywhere, mass destruction beyond compare" is from the show's theme song, which had "high adventure" instead of mass destruction.
