Hey Bootcampers! ⚔️

Ross recently made a video discussing his favorite art books and how they influenced his art journey. He wanted to bring some attention to some great resources that maybe you hadn't heard of.

What great art books do you recommend? These can be textbooks, video game/movie art-of books, or even another artist's published portfolio. This is a great opportunity to list your favorite resources, how they helped you, and even read your classmates' comments to find new resources!

We're looking forward to hearing from YOU! 🔥

I think NIMA of this guy called Ross Draws, really helps inspiring you to create a new world by yourself! And it's beautiful af

Anatomy for Sculptors by Uldis Zarins is pretty thorough when it comes to that kind of thing. I would also recommend Nathan Fowkes' portrait book.

some parts are darker ** not cooler lol

Gerardo Minho

Anyone knows of a portrait book that explains well the temporal area /cheekbone area in different ppl ? That area to me is kinda hard to visualize . The part near the ears is lighter and some parts coolest to the eyes are darker and it’s so different in everyone :)

The only art book i have (other than Nima) is actually a 21 Draw book called the "Illustator's Guidebook" and it is interesting! If it wasn't for it i would've not been able to draw guys better than i do now and it help with my anatony problems with girls too! It also teaches character designing , perspective, and composition

How to draw the marvel way

One of my favorite art books is the book of Steven Universe. The characters and the universe itself shows peace and harmony. ❤️

I learned with the George Bridgeman Complete Guide for Drawing from Life, also Drawing the Head and Figure by Jack Hamm, also Michael Hampton’s Figure Drawing Design and Invention. As for artist art books, this would include Akihiro Yamada, Shinobu Tanno, Jun Suemi, Boris Vallejo and Frank Frazetta
