Hey Bootcampers,
Can you believe we're already in July? This month's theme is Drawing Like the Masters. 🔥
In Class 4.2, we'll be analyzing the technique and style of a classical painter. Since these four masters all worked traditionally, we'll be applying their painting techniques to our digital work.
John Singer Sargent: He is considered to be the "leading portrait painter of his generation" and has his work displayed in countless museums worldwide.
Joaquín Sorolla: An artist known for his mastery of light and color in his portrait work. Bright, sunlight figures are a common theme in his pieces.
J. C. Leyendecker: He was considered to be one of the preeminent American illustrators of the 20th century and would eventually train artist Norman Rockwell.
Anders Zorn: A Swedish art master known for his portraiture of world leaders, nobility, and high society.
Please note that these may not be the exact images we select to study. :)
Let us know who you would like to see! ✨

Hey Daisken, No matter which master(s) Ross ends up doing, you get to choose your own master to study for your assignments! We're just trying to gauge community interest when choosing which master to have Ross study. :) -Stella

2021-07-03 07:07:27 +0000 UTCI really like Zorn and as i'm a swede (and also living close to his museum/home) it would be amazing to learn more about him. If possible It would be nice If we could choose one of those masters for our own instead pf having a poll and picking one for everyone.

2021-07-03 03:19:20 +0000 UTCFirstly Sargent would be amazing because many other skilled and respectable artists learned from him so it would be great to study him. Secondly Leyendecker would be great as well because he had a very interesting and unique style. So both of them would be awesome!
