Postcard Update for Tier 3s - March 2024

TL;DR

After catching up last year AZ post offices lost our next 2 card batches, so we stopped sending until we found a solution
October and November 2023 have been sent already
September 2023 will be on the way next week
November, December, January, and February will be on the way end of the month

Hey what’s up! Wanted to update everyone on postcards for those who have been Tier 3 at all in the past year. If you have never been Tier 3 or 4, you can ignore this post.

Brief clarification on why these have been behind again. After catching up last year, we sent out the September and October 2023 batches on time, but they never arrived. Upon this news we stopped sending out new batches of cards. We have finally found a concrete solution to this problem and have hired a new staff member to handle all card sending going forward, in addition to the help of Nick Yingling to help catch it up.

For starters, if you were owed the August 2023 card or prior, these were successfully resent and arrived for almost all owed people. If you still have never received a card from that time period, message the Patreon or Tollman on Discord and we will do our best to resend it again, as well as process a refund if you had not received it previously.

The only exception to this are our August and September 2022 cards, which never went out. At this point most people owed these cards are largely refunded, but if you never received the refund either please reach out via Patreon or to Tollman/me on Discord and we can process that as soon as possible. The intention is still to resend August and September 2022.

October and November 2023 have already been resent successfully. November cards are in the process of arriving right now, and October was received by most people a couple weeks ago. If you have not received October yet, please inquire with us via Patreon or Discord. Please wait until the end of of the month to inquire about November. September, December, January, and February 2023 are in the process of being packed and shipped and should be out by the end of the month.

From there, the process will resume on time with cards shipping in line with each month.

We will process any refund requests that apply to the following

You are missing September 2023 or prior and have not already received a refund for the applicable month(s)
You have not received the October resend still
You have not received the November resend by the end of the month

Confused about what you are owed?

Following all subscriptions starting in August 2023 and after, you are owed the card from the following month. For example, if you subbed any time in October 2023, you are owed the November 2023 card.

For cards August 2023 and prior, there was a date cutoff mid-month that applied, the 15th of each month. For example, if you subbed on June 25th 2023, your first owed card would be August 2023, not July.

Why are you still doing cards if there has been so many problems?

We’re confident with the changes that we have now made that there should be no problems with cards going forward. After our last post and catch up period, we were actually caught up and sending out new batches on time. The main issue in the recent year has been less about staff and time and much more about a few post offices in Arizona just straight up losing thousands of postcards we pack and give them.

I think the little package of the card and trinket or Polaroid is really nice, and it’s something that people seem to love, especially once people actually receive them. Our intention is to get this back on track via new staff and post offices, and hopefully add some additional value to T3 in the future.
