This is because if a role has a higher impact on the game, that means that the one more proficient at that role will have a higher likelihood to impact the outcome of the game compared to a low impact roll. Idk if I explained that well enough, not that it really matters.

This isn't even a League thing any game that has red and blue teaming assuming all else is equal blue will win more often than red. It's due to the psychological effects of color, essentially red makes people marginally more aggressive and risk taking which equates to more losses.
