It sounds like she just doesn’t want her cousins to dress in men’s clothing (and have to see it in the future/have it disrupt the “aesthetic” of the photos) which is ultimately vain. She can say that and accept that she’s being an asshole and have it her way but she needs to hold that fact. Period.

Asking someone to wear something that they are uncomfortable wearing is so fucking weird just don’t have them be part of your wedding pyramid and accept that you’re a dick atp.

You have more fun as a guest anyway. I think its more unreasonable to say you wont wear the outfit meant for the bridesmaids under any circumstances and then be mad that that may mean you dont get to be one.

2024-12-29 08:36:07 +0000 UTCFor the first question. you could also see if they are willing to compromise. I.E. explicitly for the ceremony, could you wear the dress, so that it is even on each side. During the party and else, you can wear the suit. That way, the situation is half and half what each other wants.
