Watch the cinematics for Ekko and Jinx from like 10 years ago and see that this has been a long time coming and has something more to it. It's one of three good video game adaptations, AND the only one thats animated! Obviously it hits harder if you are a league fan and know a little of the lore, but you really don't even need to be one to like it! tl;dr Season 2 is peak.

Yeah crime rate is lower in Denmark than most countries, especially the US, but that doesnt mean i would leave my baby unattended ANYWHERE at any point. People dont go around thinking ''crime rate is lower here so i can risk my baby being alone''. Crime happens everywhere, there are shitty people everywhere, the crime rate doesnt matter. Your examples are preventative but when your pet gets sick suddenly and it's something that requires a scan and maybe surgeries you're already over 10k easy. We used to have outdoor only dogs and cats, declawed cats, feed them scraps and the cheapest kibble, and you would NEVER have "wasted" money on a life saving surgery for a pet. Forget about ethical breeding practices as well. Animal rights have come so far in my lifetime and I'm not even 30 yet.

He set the hat down at a table outside, and came in to order while the birds waited on the hat outside by themselves. It doesn't have to do with how much people have in disposable income. Like we didn't know that golden retrievers are prone to stomach twists so now we have preventative surgeries to help (which are commonly done during spays and neuters to make the procedure even more cost effective) and we didn't have things like the rabies vaccine or parvo treatment 60 years ago.

2024-12-05 20:26:11 +0000 UTCDeclawing your cats and prong collars for dogs are two very recent examples of cultural/societal "pressures" influencing how we treat our pets sometimes even medically. You will also still see the random old person on the internet who will bark at young people who "treat their dogs like children instead of pets" which again just kinda shows how dogs/pets are evolving into being seen as "more so" family instead of the family animals. You could say that means more families are at least willing to financially cripple themselves to save them (vs. old yeller'ing them).

Unless the owner has full control over their dog and can keep them calmly away from service animals they shouldn't be in restraunts and grocery stores etc.
