Don't you believe that even just speaking up about an issue, formally, would make those impressionable listeners think "Wow, I mean I really like these guys and they're being vocal about this important issue- maybe I should do the same?" Aiden I know how politically literate you are and how you have a pulse on geopolitics and various other social/economic topics. In being that aware, you also see how much impact these creators/celebrities have made specifically on this issue. Majority of the world does finally know now how twisted the Zio agenda is but hearing our favorite creators/personalities speak up about it too just plain old FEELS GOOD. Being Arab, I've known about this issue since I was maybe 10 but it's a brand new topic to a lot of people so hearing a little bit about an important "hot topic," fuels some conversation in everyone's personal lives and their shared professional/interpersonal lives. And you know what- let's pretend every single celebrity who spoke up about it is just doing it for clout- let's say Macklemore specifically... so what? The cause is important either way and whether the person spreading the word is genuine or not barely matters. Does it say something about their character? I mean sure but that's something for him to consider and think about. Feels like 2 opposing beliefs to me where Ludwig is saying his audience is too opposed on the issue to fundraise and you’re saying The Yard audience is already all on the same page so you wouldn’t be reaching the right people. I don’t even necessarily think that you SHOULD discuss Palestine on the Yard, like you said you guys are making weekly podcast poop and cum jokes, but I definitely did really respect Chad Chad, Jarvis, Kurtis as they were able to find a way to use their platform for a good cause by joining the fundraiser, even though they’re not explicitly political youtubers.

2024-05-16 19:07:32 +0000 UTCi cant speak for everyone else but my main issue is that given that our social space, community, and each other are all on the same page about the issue, taking my platform to speak about it is for moral approval and handshakes of those who already agree with me. i dont have a position, given the context of our show and social positioning, to radically impact or shape people's opinions about this issue - i am parading opinions that i know already have broad support for social credibility, which with such a heavy issue, feels gross. if i am going to speak about Palestine i want it to have purpose and utility, especially when serious topics such as it are such a heavy pivot from content of the show. it feels like stopping the train that most people are here to enjoy so i can shower myself in +1s and praise for having the right opinion. i think i could reflect more on what impact or change i COULD make, but its something i havent taken the time to do admittedly - im busy and probably too selfish and let the other stuff in my life dictate my day to day. i do not care if I upset Zionists, on the public or premium episode - Aiden
