If you became the CEO of JLC right now. What would you do? What would you change? If you did a SWOT analysis of JLC, as a brand, what would you identify as their Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats?!
I am deep into a JLC video and I think I need to hear some outside voices and influence! LET'S OVERTHINK JLC!

The strengths are the weaknesses. When the movement is turned up it evokes one of the big three. When the movement is turned down it evokes a Cartier Tank. But neither side of the watch is as charismatic as the two watches evoked. Many an “Enthusiast” would rather have one of each watch evoked than the Reverso. This really limits the market for this collection. And brand wise people might imagine themselves free diving but they dont in this day and age picture themselves playing polo. The times have aged out if this model is my hot take.

JLC find themselves in a confusing market position. Their USP is the Reverso and it’s too expensive. They should have a quartz version much like Cartier has a quartz Tank. Having a GADA watch is a great idea but there are so many GADA watches it’ll be hard for them to stand out - they’ll need some heavy hitting celebrity endorsement and, again, they’ll need options that are affordable. The Master Control and Master Ultra Thin are nice watches at a decent price but a bit “meh”. The issue for me is who they see themselves competing against. Their real problem is I don’t know the answer to that. Chopard is a good comparison but the fact I hadn’t thought of it speaks volumes (despite their boutiques being close to each other on Bond St!). I doubt they consider IWC a direct competitor but they’re in the ballpark but I’d buy a Portugieser or Ingenieur before a JLC.
