Everybody deserves to take pride in themselves and who they are. No matter your sexuality, identity, or your desires… so long as you engage with them in a safe, sane, and consensual way, there is no force on Earth, which should be allowed to strip that pride from you. And yet… some of us accrue baggage over the years that makes it difficult to engage with all facets of ourselves with this same opened-heart acceptance. Some of us have been subject to negative messaging from our environments, and have internalized that the things we want to be, or do, or possess, somehow make us lesser than others.
As though we should be ashamed to have them.
But this baggage… isn’t something that has to weigh you down forever.
Pride is something we can all learn to have more of, to feel more deeply. Pride is not just an emotion, but a state we actively participate in constructing - we are not given pride by the world at large. We take pride because of who we are and what we are capable of.

Happy Pride! The release is timed for Pride Month obviously... but honestly I'm a believer in the value of Pride for more than just one month of the year. This piece speaks on both taking Pride in elements like your identity and orientation, as well as Pride in your kinks and all the wonderful ways engaging with them can help you grow. Which I really do mean. You should feel fucking awesome for being the kinky, queer, etc. you that you are!
