Syllabus: The Crimp
Added 2025-02-21 00:46:43 +0000 UTCThis month, we're going to learn techniques that allow you to crimp (i.e. slightly bend) certain cards in the deck. We will cover different crimps with different use cases, and then also discuss how to put the work in, take the work out (when possible), how to cut to each kind of crimp, and all the various applications. Crimps are an incredibly powerful tool that can eliminate the need to hold breaks during certain tricks, allowing for a much more "hands off" procedure. You can even let the audience member shuffle the deck after replacing their selected card, and without ever looking at the faces of the cards, you can then bring their card under your control.
This coming week, we'll learn the "practice" of these crimp techniques.

The final week of the month, I'll hold a members only livestream where you can ask questions about this trick or any of the previous techniques in the course. If you attend, you may be able to ask a question over video where you can demonstrate the issue you're struggling with on camera and I will provide feedback in real time.
