PATREON TRANSITION PLANS (CHANGE ON 9/1/21)

HELLO, EVERYONE! As mentioned in this week's episode, the Potterless Patreon will transition over to the Patreon for my new podcast covering the Percy Jackson series, The Newest Olympian. Next Monday will be the final weekly episode of Potterless (I'll still post live show and convention audio occasionally), and starting in September, I'll post weekly episodes of The Newest Olympian! TNO will be on a separate feed, but the Patreon will still be this account. So how will this all work?

There will be new tiers for TNO, which will go live on September 1st: I'm waiting until 9/1/21 to make them public because the plan is to switch the Patreon from a charge-per-episode structure to a monthly pledge structure. This is mainly to allow us access to features that Patreon has in place only for monthly pledge accounts, such as discounts for paying for an annual membership (example: a $10/month tier could become $8.50/month if you pay for 12 months at once).

Here's the current plan, though I may tweak a few things before going live:

Tier #1: Oh, I just want the Potterless stuff…

Tier #2: Demigods

• Price: $5/month
• Benefits: Shoutout in the midroll, Discord access, everything above

Tier #3: GODS

• Price: $10/month
• Benefits: Notes, director’s commentary, sticker w/ signed thank you note, everything above

Tier #4: SUPERGODS

• Price: $20/month
• Benefits: Monthly bonus episodes, audio extras and bloopers, everything above

Tier #5: MEGAGODS

• Price: $35/month
• Benefits: Enamel pin, personalized/hand-written/signed postcard, monthly livestreams, everything above

Tier #6: ULTRAGODS

• Price: $50/month
• Benefits: PRODUCER LEVEL STATUS - name in ending credits, producer-exclusive holographic sticker, membership to the OLYMPIC COURT where you help me decide what content to cover next when we’re in between books or in between series within the PJO universe, my eternal gratitude, and everything above.

Anything else we should know?

The show will have a slightly different structure in that it'll have a cold open (like HORSE and Meddling Adults) and the housekeeping will take place in the midroll. That's where new patrons will be thanked. And because I had no idea that I'd have LITERALLY HUNDREDS OF PRODUCERS when I established the producer tier for Potterless, I'm going to only be saying full names in the ending credits (though you'll get a special shoutout for your first episode as producer in the midroll)

What if I don't update my pledge?

You shouldn't lose access to anything you currently have access to, and you would just get charged for the price of your tier once. So if you're currently a $10/episode Potterless Producer and you do nothing, you'll get charged $10/month. 

What if I don't want to support the Percy Jackson pod?

You have from now until 9/1/21 to cancel your pledge. Absolutely no hard feelings if you decide to leave, I'm just so grateful to have had your support in the first place.
