Added 2022-12-21 02:24:05 +0000 UTCHere's a little step-by-step process of completing a panel for Fatal Kiss! First, I start with the thumbnail! Usually, I will do all of the thumbnails and leave notes for myself to come back to later on when I eventually forget my vision for the episode 0v0'' Then I continue with a more finished sketch, trying my best to make it as easy as possible to translate into line art. Then it's a pretty quick process as sketching and line art take me the longest to do. Base colors which I have handy to color pick from, blushing to give it a warmer tone and add a bit more life to the colors, shading which I blend out to look softer, and finally highlights! Highlights are probably my favorite cause I love the shine and I can experiment with it. I experiment by maybe placing it on clothes or to highlight something I find I want the reader to focus more on!
I use Clip Studio Paint EX, a Gaomon Tablet, the canvas I work with is 800 x ~30,000 px and I generally use the default brushes except for my custom line art pen that's an airbrush pen with 100% brush density and hardness.
