More Support Needed!

That support level needs to rise. We're only at 29% of the required goal. A game of this caliber doesn't get worked on with such a small amount of people backing it.

v.0.01 took 8 months because people  refused to back it. We would have had at the very least 3 releases by now with full support.

My skill set is being offered at a discount. This is a special game, and you all know where it's heading, so don't sit on the sidelines hoping someone else will pledge. If you can, pledge however much you can.  As we get closer to that goal, more people will think it's achievable.

That's sound advice, but I cannot commit full time to this and blow off my free-lancing gig. I can only allocate time here based on the amount of support. The faster the goal is reached the happier everyone involved will be. That's the only sales pitch I have.

I'm going to offer some advice/criticism but understand I'm writing this as someone who signed up to donate before even finishing playing your first release and someone who wants to see you become extremely successful with this game. Games like yours on Patreon only become successful by building up a long term fan base. From the first part you've released I see no reason why your game wouldn't be incredibly successful but even despite it's obvious quality it is going to take time to build that fanbase which is going to mean short term sacrifice. This is an area where the more people see you are invested in the games success the more they are going to be willing to commit to backing the game. And the more updates/releases there are the more attention it will draw. Now I 100% understand time is money and I don't think you're wrong in venting you're not making as much as you should be for work of this caliber. But understand in this situation you are not venting pay grievances to a boss that's hired you for a job, you're venting to the audience that you are trying to sell your product to. In this regard I recommend being more humble when asking people to chip in more to your project. Ask them to spread word of your game if they can't chip in more. Take on the role of a salesman. I hope this helps and that you don't take it negatively. I'm looking forward to seeing more of this game and sincerely hope you reach all your funding goals and beyond.
