A small status update on BM
Added 2021-05-26 13:10:34 +0000 UTCHey there!
Thought I should make a small post to let you know where I am with the update at the moment.
I've finished most of the scenes for day 10 and some for day 11. I've started working on the animations for several of the scenes of day 10, but there's one in particular that refuses to render in a decent amount of time, sadly it's THE biggest animation I've planned for the update and I don't really want to cut it, so I'll work on some other scenes for now until I get some neat new hardware next month, my hope is that rendering time will be reduced significantly! with it.
I'm also at a point where I'm starting to think about releasing a 6.5 instead of the full planned update, simply because I'm way behind my shedule, but I won't decide about that yet until I got the new hardware.
For everyone who hasn't heard about it yet, I've lost one of my grafics cards a while ago, so rendering goes a lot slower than it used to.
With the current market it's (was) kind of impossible to get a new card for a reasonable price, but thanks to the steam release I'll be able to buy a prebuild system next month \(^_^)/
Hmm... I think that's it, nothing else to report... let me see if I find something nice to attach though^^

Alright, there you go. People who played the steam version might remember one of them and might also be able to tell where the other two belong, for everyone else...
Have a good one ;)

Not literaly, it's broken.
2021-05-27 02:53:33 +0000 UTCThe problem is the current grafics card prices, the pc I'll buy costs just a tiny little bit more than what I'd pay for the (included) grafics card alone, pre-builds aren't affected (yet) by the current situation with the scalpers, miners and overpriced gc's. It's also more or less a custom build, since was able to negotiate some parts with the sellers support.
2021-05-27 02:13:07 +0000 UTCIt burned up that's how! Also why don't you build your own it is a lot cheaper then them pre builds! You should look into AMD as they are a bit cheaper and though you cant use the video cards for rendering you can still save your money on other stuff. You should look into the Rison CPU Chip and the Motherboards as well! If your old case is big enough all you need is a new CPU , Motherboard, and if your RAM is compatible with the new board and it is enough then you can save more there as well. Also if your power supply is big enough then there is more money that you save! I live on a fixed income so I must make sure that every penny is stretched to its limit! As I used to build gaming rigs myself I know that money is always a problem!
