June Updates

I hope you've all had a good month. I've spent a lot of it travelling so not many updates. I was invited to take part in a Higurashi fan event and was interviewed on stream a few weeks ago, which you can watch back here!
In terms of media, I only finished one show, but it's a big one: Sound! Euphonium Season 3. I can't believe Eupho is finally done. Despite dipping in all the way back when it first aired, I only properly became a fan a few years ago, and it still feels monumental, so I can't imagine what it's like for those who've been following the series the whole time.
I'm sure I could make a video about Season 3, though I haven't decided if I will yet (and it would obviously join a queue). I've loved the series' evolution, and the conclusion to Kumiko's arc through this season. This one really felt like it belonged to her, and deservedly so. Even in its tenser moments, the whole season felt very controlled, mature, and understated in its tone, all the way through to the spectacular, cathartic explosion of emotion in episode 12. It was expectedly expertly-executed throughout. It's been a pleasure and a privilege to follow these characters across these three distinct eras, and Eupho handles every intricate relationship, and the cast's overarching hierarchy, beautifully. I can't say enough good things. Watch Sound! Euphonium!
I also want to recommend a channel I've been enjoying: Chani Japan. Chani makes lovely, insightful videos about her life in Japan as an Australian that I really enjoy.
