May Updates

How's it going? No exciting (YouTube) updates on my end, still trudging through editing. It's been a busy month in my personal life -- I've got a new job! I found out on Friday and won't be starting for a number of months, so more on that a bit down the line. It's not super far-removed from what I'm doing now but I'll have less responsibilities and hopefully slightly better work/life balance/less stress so it can only be good for the channel.
Otherwise, I was invited to take part in a month-long Higurashi fan event by someone on Twitter -- I'm going to be interviewed by him live on Sunday 23rd June about the series and my channel! I'll post more about it on my Twitter closer to the time, but I think it'll be available to view after too. Otherwise, two media bits:
I just finished listening to Season 4 of the podcast Serial, which I've been a fan of since its first season a decade ago. It's always such a treat when these come around again. This season covered Guantanamo Bay and its history from all angles, it's a super interesting and engaging listen that I definitely recommend.
I also finished one book this month -- the novella Termush by Danish author Sven Holm. The book is set in a hotel-cum-bunker where rich guests booked rooms pre-apocalyptic disaster. It's a really interesting little book with a beautiful, slightly trippy literary style and some great social and political commentary that's well-worth a read.
