DO YOU HAVE TO GIVE KITTENS BATHS? Normally, no. But, in the event that they have a bad case of ringworm, topical treatment is not enough. A lot of the kittens from APA enter in foster care with ringworm so sometimes I have to give them a full dip in a lime sulfur solution in order to help them get rid of the fungus that causes it. The kittens most often dislike the dips. After all, very few cats enjoy baths. But they don't stay angry long and mostly just want to cuddle with you while they dry o...

Not all naps are the same. But every kitten naps. A lot. And they are the kings and queens or originality when it comes nap location and nap position. Also, it is illegal to not take a picture of your kitten when you catch them in a nap, just so you know the rules.
Also, if you're enjoying this feed of kitten content, and you wanna leave a tip, all proceeds from this account go towards supporting current and future fosters. I can't wait to show you guys a new enclosure I've bought to setup for ...

Good morning! I wanted to introduce you to one of my former fosters, Gabbie, and tell you why she was a special first for me. Certain kittens can come to you in need of some extra help due to health conditions they are experiencing when they enter your care. Gabbie was massively underweight, covered in crusted filth, did not have solid poops (very important for kittens) and had no energy to do almost anything. She had ringworm and a parasite in her stomach. But with the help of a lot of attentio...

Setting boundaries with kittens that are only a few months old can be difficult. You feed them? They try to convince you they are still hungry. You get something for yourself out of the fridge? They try to figure out how to open it themselves. It would be tiresome if they weren't so damn cute about it.

When you foster kittens, they get quite attached to you. To the point where even a short bathroom break is instead an opportunity to play a game.

ADOPTION DAY IS A BITTER SWEET DAY! It means a loving family gets to add some new kitties to their home and I for one have successfully done my job as a foster dad. But it also means I have to say goodbye to kittens who I have in most cases helped grow from little babies into healthy awkward teenagers. Hank & Logan came to me 7 weeks old, underfed and dealing with some digestional health issues. They leave me healthy, grown and smiling. I will miss them always, as I do all of my kittens, but...

This is Hank. Hank has also been nicknamed "Mr. Wobbles" due to the fact that he has a mild case of Cerebellar Hypoplasia, aka Wobbly Cat Syndrome. CH is a condition where his brain did not fully develop properly, specifically in the area that controls his motor functions, so he doesn't have perfect control of his body and legs causing him to be a little unsteady and fall in certain conditions. Thankfully Hank's conditioned seemed much worse when he was a neonatal kitten but since then, he has g...

Can I introduce you to Logan? I name all of my kittens after X-Men characters and I saved Logan, the civilian name of Wolverine, for a special kitten. I have had Logan for two months, he is one of my current two kittens I am fostering right now, and he caught my attention immediately. This guy is a people person. He loves attention, he loves playing, he loves showing you his belly, he loves a lap to sit on, he loves a back to sit on, he loves to basically cuddle on top of you anywhere you will m...

Since I am new here and want to test out how all the features work, here is my first video of Erik & Charles. There is a term in this house we use to describe the kittens that come home with a little extra spunk in them. They climb more, they fight more, they talk more. They are...SPICY. Erik was my first spicy boy.

In October of 2020, while everybody was learning how to make sourdough bread from scratch, I used my time in the global panini to finally follow through with a long standing goal of mine to become a foster home for kittens. My friend Hannah, who had been doing it for a quite a while at that point, inspired me to take in these little furry beans, help them grow up and find forever homes.
Now it's May 2021 and I have successfully adopted out 12 separate kittens over the last 8 months of fostering...
