My buddy here is notorious for forgetting her exfoliating and moisturizing - we have joked about it every month for two and a half years straight haha, but today we were able to celebrate her only having a couple sensitive ingrown hairs. This is SUCH an improvement for her skin compared to how it would respond when I was using strictly soft wax on her. Not to mention, her hair has thinned quite a bit since the switch to hard wax. Eeeeep! I love seeing the positive changes that have happened sinc...

Second time leaving a landing strip.
Just, whatever you do, don’t make some comment like “I’m an adult so I’m not going completely hairless.” 😖
Bc I don’t like getting the ick at work.
And grown ass adults can do whatever they want with their body hair 🤙🏼

Reminder: for approximately 24 hours post-waxing treatment, it is considered normal for your skin to still have:
*redness
*slight tenderness
*red dots where your hair follicles are
How your skin responds after a wax depends LARGELY on your genetics and can be affected by different products & methods used in and after the treatment room

Gentle reminder to not squeeze ingrown hairs and try to pop them like a pimple. It causes bruising and rarely a successful extraction.
Instead, exfoliate 2-3x a week and moisturize daily. Your waxer will grab them when they’re ready at your next appt 🤗

Client started her cycle during our wax — no biggie! I have a bouquet of tampons handy for just that reason 💐 Handed her a fresh wipe & tamp, turned my back for a min to give her privacy and we went on our merry waxing way 👩🏻🍳🤌🏼

👩🏻🍳🤌🏼 She uses lady suite products religiously, but lemme be very frank and honest and clear that her skin isn’t a realistic goal for every person. It doesn’t look this clear because of lady suite & myself…. Her vulva skin is this smooth because of her genetics. I know for sure because I wax her sister and mom and their skin is the exact same. 🤙🏼

Here’s another reminder that PCOS causing excess hair growth is a completely common, normal and out of your control thing 🫶
I am so sad I forgot the ‘after’ 😭 her skin responded beautifully

I recommended leeeetle bit more exfoliation - she’s using the lady suite glow refiner, so I reminded her to use it about every other day and to apply directly to her skin. Also reminded her to moisturize daily and especially after she exfoliates. So cool to see that hair thinning. Five weeks since her last wax 🥳

One of the most common conditions I have seen over the last 8 years in my wax room women is PCOS - Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. It is a very common hormone problem for women of childbearing age.
The symptoms of PCOS may include:
* Missed periods, irregular periods, or very light periods
* Ovaries that are large or have many cysts
* Weight gain, especially around the belly (abdomen)
* Acne or oily skin
* Male-pattern baldness or thinning hair
* Infertility
* Small pieces of exces...

this amount of redness post wax wouldn’t be considered normal across the board, but remember - redheads have deeper hair follicles and tend to have more sensitive skin. This amount of sensitization is completely normal for her and always subsides within about 12 hours :)
