I watch a lot of old movies — I especially love Japanese films about ninjas and samurai. There is something special about them: rhythm, honor, silence before the blow... and that sharp, piercing sound that a warrior makes in the heat of battle.
Once, after watching another movie, I wondered how to convey this battle cry in letters. After much thought, it seemed to me that AYA sounded just right.
