I just haven't had anything I can post on this largely SFW patreon. Hopefully, those of you who have joined the discord have enjoyed seeing the progress on what I've been working on. I am opening up commissions here to make this place more active. I am keeping it limited for now because I still owe a few commissions, and I want to get to those too. Pausing this month's Patreon charge because of COVID-19

For every creator on Patreon, donating even a dollar means a lot. They add up to make it so that we can make what we make. Were it not for Patreon, I know that I likely would've disappeared as an artist long ago. Knowing how much a dollar can matter, I'm pausing this month's charge. Billing will resume May 1. 

I am doing this because it feels like the right thing to do. To be frank, I'm not exactly rolling in dough, so I may regret the decision, but I'd rather not be another undue ...

Casual and Confident Sam

Casual Sam

 Sam outside of the suit. These clothes are inspired by Baiken. The color scheme is from Baiken's clothes, and the high pants are inspired by how her wrap goes way high up.  Initially Sam's hair color was Pink to pay tribute to the armless fighting game character. I changed her hair color, but Baiken remains a large influence on the characters design, her casual clothes and bust size are influenced by Baiken.

Samantha Pin Up

 I know most of you are here for pin ups, so I made a more typical pin up for you guys. (Also it shows her putting on/taking off a hair clamp... so... there's that.  

Sam Floats Too

Another contrast test. I made this to see if Sam's costume will standout against a black background. It's much better than the old costume colors, but I think if you have a darker monitor or your contrast isn't set up right, this may look a little too dark.

This is a bit closer to what Sam's figure should be. As I mentioned before she is an amalgam of my favorite characters. Originally, I paid tribute to Baiken through her hair color, now I pay tribute through her bust. 

Samantha's Greatest Tool

The second piece I ever made of her, once again redone to the new color scheme. The pose is kind of generic. The idea was to sort of emulate a cover for comic. The thing she holds is a tool built by her suit. It's a tool like a screwdriver or something. The suit is basically a very advanced space suit. Space suits are largely utilitarian. Most spacewalks around the international space station are repair missions. Most astronauts are glorified mechanics. This suit uses nanites to construct any...

So, this was the first image I ever made of Samantha outside of the character sheet. There are a few things about it that aren't up to par, but I want to share because it has some stuff that I want to show.

The Last Solarian: Updated Samantha character sheet

So I made a few adjustments to this and added more detail. 

1. Changed the color of her hair.
While this character is an amalgam of my favorite female characters in comics and anime, I wound up not liking her original hair color. Originally her hair was pink to pay tribute to Baiken from Guilty Gear. After a discussion and some feedback on Discord, a lot of people seemed to like her more with this Brown/Auburn hair color. Good News and Bad News

I'm gonna start with the bad news.

I didn't get in to Combo Breaker. Combo Breaker is probably the only event I would've been able to make this year, so that plan is shot. I think the reason why I was rejected is that I didn't add much to my portfolio last year, and didn't have much relevant work to show them in my application. (I hope that's the reason why at least.)

Fighting Game Girl Poll

So this poll is going to work a bit differently. You are going to have multiple votes, and instead of picking just one, you're picking the order I do these in until I have to go to Combo Breaker (assuming I get in)

Example: Chun Li gets 10 votes, Baiken gets 2 votes, and Cammy gets 6 votes. In that scenario I'd do a Chun Li piece, followed by a Cammy piece, followed by a Baiken piece.

So I'm trying to get in to Combo Breaker's artist alley this year. Which means I need to make more pin ups of fighting game girls. Suggest  your favorite fighting game girls and I'll put them in the next poll.

2019 Plans for the Patreon

OK guys, I really appreciate your patience over the past few months. This allowed me to produce Toph Heavy. Which will begin posting else where either 1/15 or 1/22. However, starting Jan 1, 2019 we're going back to what this Patreon used to be about. Pin ups. Here's the plan for 2019 .

Patreon Shift... Kinda

Ok, so I took a poll about a month ago if you guys would be cool if I switched the focus of this patreon to Toph Heavy. The result was a landslide. 88% in favor of the shift.
