Apologies for the slowed down release pace lately. Been distracted with other commitments while also trying new things. I got several things in the pipeline that should hopefully be ready first. This in particular turned into an exercise to both get back in practice with non-chiptune music production and also write longer form material at least 7 minutes long with an evolving structure that doesn't get too repetitive, as opposed to my comfort zone of ultra dense 1-2 minute game music loops. So here's a fun little project I've been working on. It's essentially Sonic 3 filtered through the lens of Sonic CD (JP/EU) with past, present and bad/good future arrangements in a variety of styles. I've been so exclusively focused on chiptunes the past years I felt that my actual production skills had started to atrophy, so this has been a kind of exercise to get them back in shape.

Here's a very belated .vgm download for the last video which I forgot about. Sorry about that. I've had prolonged issues last year with being sick, job has been more stressful keeping me busy (which I guess is a good thing), and also dealing with other health issues like RSI which hasn't left me as much energy working on music.
