Kairyu Crocodile!

I wanted to draw something but didn’t have the energy to do a big piece considering the makeover I’m doing with my studio. So I thought about my favorite Vtubers and their designs.

The newest vtuber to drop is Kairyu Croc just tickles something satisfying in the back of my brain. It’s so clever.

I’m debating whether to put a tiny bird on her tail or not but we’ll see after I do the line work.

The Art Studio needs a makeover…

It’s clear I need to declutter, clean, and reorganize the studio. No wonder I never want to work in here, right? While I love being comfy in my bedroom, I NEED to keep business and relaxation separate… as well as not being tempted to nap all day and never leave my bed.

And what you see is just 75% of the room. You don’t even wanna see what the other side looks like (TRUST me). It’s basically the closet area and that’s a whole can of worms for another day.

Updating Tiers and a Personal Piece

Lancelot is kind of avoiding me right now. Which is fine. He’s allowed to be grumpy with me. But Odie seems very happy to have a little friend. The little one sure loves Odie, nuzzling his face and purring.

Figs loves to cuddle and purr. He’s getting used to his surroundings and learning how to use the litter box.

Gone but Not Forgotten

A fellow artist, former client, and friend met up with me today and she gave me this beautiful piece of pottery to be used as Frodo’s urn.

It suits him so well, don’t you think?

I am truly blessed to have good friends who love and understand me and who loved Frodo too.

It’s going to be strange doing future marketing stuff without him. But he’ll forever be the face of my logo, so he’s not forgotten.

This is temporary until I find a proper urn for Frodo’s ashes. But at least everything is together in one place.

I miss my Frodo so much. I miss his chirpy meows. I miss his purrs. I miss him laying on my chest when I’m suffering a migraine. I miss him sitting on my lap as I try to draw/paint.

Rest in peace my sweet baby. You are no longer in pain, so please rest.

Frodo is dying…

He’s very weak. But he’s still using the litter box (though quite clumsily), still attempting to eat but having trouble holding himself up to drink water.

He has kidney failure and pancreatitis.

It could be days… weeks… or months (if lucky) until he takes his final journey to the gray havens…

Amano Howl pt 2 (WIP)

Making some progress. We may be ready for the color portion of the piece.

What’s nice about Amano’s style is how free flowing the lines feel and easy it is to just turn your brain off and let the image form. I mean, sure, I need a quick sketch plan before I can go ink but I don’t have to over think the line work.

Returning to Amano’s Style

I had done a Spirited Away piece in Yoshitaka Amano’s style couple years ago.

I’m back to play with Amano style with Howl’s Moving Castle. I’ve been mentioning it at cons, had some sketches in my sketchbook, and now it’s finally becoming a reality. Still working on the final sketch but I’ll get to do the line work soon!
