First art box of 2024!

January was a pretty slow month for me. I found it hard to draw most days, and often I would only draw half of my usual time. I've just been so exhausted, but I'm glad it didn't stop me from working on some ideas because I am proud of some of the stuff I made despite it.

I am resting up though, and I don't feel nearly as tired as I did a couple weeks ago. I'm excited to keep working on OC projects and I can't wait to share some more when they're ready. Please remember to rest...

November Art Box!

November was pretty light on art... Mostly because I was tired, but it did lead to a lot of FFXIV character and Raven art, so that's good. With the holidays coming up fast I want to finish up all the commissions I have to do, then after that I'm hoping to do some fun OC art stuff with you guys. SamDoesArt has this really fun series where he draws his patrons OCs and I wanna do something like that too.

Discord Server Soon!

Want to start by saying I'm working on getting a Patron discord server ready! I have some friends helping me get everything ready and they're kind enough to be moderators too. I decided I want to do this because I like interacting with you guys be it here, or on social media, or DMs. Most places, unfortunately, aren't good for staying in touch and just chatting, so I decided to make a server. My hope is that it will be ready soon this month.

September Art Box!

Got some more art for you all this month, mostly Armored Core and Shadowheart, but some OC art in there too! I wasn't able to make as much as I wanted this month. I was just too tired, especially with art socials being really bad right now. I'm honestly worried about getting work now since it's an up-hill battle trying to get people to even see my work online. August Art Box

Hope everyone is doing okay! August felt very long with lots of low points, so I didn't get much drawing done. Even though it's a lot less than what I usually draw I'm actually happy with my progress. It's rare to have a good feeling towards my art, so I'll take it. Even though social media is still a disaster, and ai art is doing it's usual awful things, I'm still drawing and I intend to keep on doing it. July Art Box

I guess July ended up being Raven month...

With everything going on in the art world I almost forgot to make this month's art box. In short, with Twitter being run into the ground, artists are losing the best space we had for meeting clients and getting opportunities. Add AI running more rampant on top of that, and everything just... sucks, and it's out of my control. I guess in a way to comfor...

Art Box!

I tried something new for this one, so I hope you guys like the timelapse! I found out Clip Studio Paint comes with a record feature so I tried it out on a portrait. It's very fun to see it in timelapse; however... It makes the file size massive so it sometimes crashes... I don't think I can do a full recording of large works, but I think I can do it for smaller ones. I'll keep looking into it in the future!

New month, new art box! Feels like I worked on a lot of different stuff this month. I even forgot to save the various steps for some artworks... Next month I'll remember to save them for the art box, so sorry about that! It's just the usual stuff so I hope y'all don't mind.

Some Stuffs

Just wanted to share something cool from a lesson! it's the process of designing a character based on a feeling or a mood. I wanted to make someone who would be the opposite of Raven. It was super fun especially because the instructor said to not be worried about being too cheesy or cliche to instead give in to those things and have fun and let it become something more. It would be fun to work on this character more, so I might sketch some stuff out and build on her more.

Process

Wanted to share these WIPs from a painting I've been working on that show how I go about the process. Every painting starts off with very loose/rough drawing and a big splashes of paint so I can get down the general idea I have in my head. Then from there its just lots of building things up and changing things as I go.
