Jethro Tull: Songs From The Wood | Extended Play Lounge, Ep. 106

This is one of those albums that demands repeat listens. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this exotic folk rock album...and I feel like there's still quite a bit of magic to yet tap into upon future listens. It was great to get back to music from Jethro Tull after more than two years! I'm curious as to which JT album y'all think we should hear next...

Jacob Collier: World O World | Behind the Score - Ep. 70

I made another last minute switch in repertoire...and I'm so happy that I did. I'm pleased to present to you the first work by Jacob Collier that we've studied in this series. World O World is a piece for unaccompanied choir, written for the Aeolians of Oakwood University in 2018. The music is truly a product of a 21st century musical prodigy, weaving effortlessly between a myriad of stylistic influences. It's reverent but not sacred and jazzy without being saccharine or predictable. I hope y...

Pink Floyd: The Division Bell | Extended Play Lounge Ep. 105

Well...as I'll explain in the video, I wasn't planning on starting off 2026 with Pink Floyd, but I'm really happy that this album made it's way to the Extended Play Lounge today. This is a really enjoyable listen...one that re-filled me with some optimism and hope on a day that I needed it. It really is magical hearing these players make music together! I hope you enjoy as much as I did!

EPL POLL - First EPL of the new year!

OK...I was planning on watching This is Spinal Tap as the first EPL of the year. But, my current capabilities won't allow me to properly capture the video and sound to include in the finished video.

Transatlantic: Bridge Across Forever | Extended Play Lounge - Episode 103
