Sandy Mounds Resort was known for being a paradise of sun and waves for those across the worlds. The small resort was built on a long strip of private beach that had a pier to the side that cut out into the ocean. The posts around the beach were put up to tell guests to avoid swimming by the pier. Mostly to keep resort goers safe from currents, but partially to avoid people getting caught by fishing lines as the pier was a popular point to cast off.
