Export to FBX now available

Export to Autodesk Filmbox (FBX) is now available on both https://loadout.tf/ and https://dotaloadout.com/ for power users tier.

FBX is a 3D file format accepted by a large variety of modeling applications. 

Some features are not yet available, such as particle effects and animations.

Introducing Accurate skins chrome extension

You can now inspect decorated weapons within your browser on the steam community market or user inventories.

In a steam market page, mouse your mouse over a listing.
In a user inventory, left click on the requested item. The extension also adds a button to filter tradable wapaints.

I'm currently working on a chrome extension to inspect decorated weapons in the steam market. Pick the best skins directly from your browser !

This extension will be available to everyone, yet Patreons will have access  to advanced features.

Dota models now exportable for 3d printing

Color 3D Print Exports

The feature many of you asked for is now live. The textures can now be exported along with the model. This feature also works for painted items or weapon skins.

Beside this, every model is now exported as part of a single .obj file.

Note for shapeways users : for full color print shapeways require an .x3d file instead of an .obj file. You can easily convert the file format using blender

New perk - post processing

A post-processing feature is now available for patrons. 

For now, two post processing options are available : grain and color curves. The image above was produced using these.

Sneak peek at the future lighting of loadout.tf

I'm currently reworking the lighting of loadout.tf : the specular & rim lights will be displayed, and you will be able to manipulate the light position / color.

I expect to ship this update in the next few days. I hope you'll enjoy it.

Meet the Team SFM sessions.

MeetMyTeam.tf can now export SFM sessions. Go to http://meetmyteam.tf and paste your steam profile url. The inventory must be public.

I also added meet the team poses to http://loadout.tf.

Note that the site may take a while to fully load.

I attached a sample session to this post.

Facial animations added to loadout.tf

I added facial animations to loadout.tf. You can access them from the toolbar after chosing a character.

Those animations are exported in SFM sessions and 3d print models.

Improvements in SFM export

Export for SFM has been improved:

3 point lighting is now automaticaly added to the scene for a better lighting setup.

Default camera is now further from the character, allowing a lower field of view, thus a better look.

The character is now automaticaly looking at the camera.

You now can choose the export map: you can now pick black void, which is a totally black map, usefull for cut out. More maps will be added to the pool as time goes.

[loadout.tf] Decorated weapons can now be exported for SFM

I've updated http://loadout.tf : team colored decorated weapons are now available for team blu.

Decorated weapons can now be exported for SFM. For this purpose, i crafted this weapon pack: http://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=615121851

Note that decorated weapons are only available as factory new wear.
