Golden Girl

So this was pretty interesting! I showed up at a Berkeley AirBnb to meet my photographer friend James Thornton and I quickly realized that I had actually shot there before with another photographer about a year ago. Dan and I just bought tickets to visit Hawaii's big island for the first time over our holiday break this December, and in my state of anticipatory excitement I decided to revisit a Maui shoot from earlier this year and pick out some new goodies 😍 You might remember this splendiferous location as the Acid War Zone trail, near the Nakalele Blowhole.

Nærøyfjord

This popular fjord, which is a branch of the larger Sognefjord, is considered one of Norway's most dramatic landscapes. Hence, it wasn't easy to find a part of it that was empty enough to shoot nudes at. We managed to spot this tiny chunk of privacy, and shot a few quickies; I don't know if these midday shots quite do justice to how stunning the scenery is but I'm glad we were able to at least get something!

We randomly stopped here on our way from Åndalsnes and Flam; it was called Fantestein, and it's somewhere in between Breheimen and Jotunheimen National Parks. The truth is there are like a billion pullouts in Norway with stunning views and if you hike in a bit you can be all alone; it's quite glorious.

A new book and it's all me!

My photographer pal Russ Levin just launched his second book, "Devi, Ninety-Eight Plus One" on Kickstarter. It's made up of ninety-nine photos and one of them is an 8"x10" image as shown above with the Golden Gate Bridge in the background.

Au Naturel

We visited Red Rock Beach in Marin a couple of weekends ago on a particularly pretty, foggy afternoon. It's one of my favorite beaches in the Bay Area; not only is it gorgeous but it's also always populated with nudies like me!

Trollveggen

We did a super satisfying hike in Norway's Romsdalen valley to view the famous Troll Wall, also known as Trollveggen in Norwegian. It was just challenging enough of a journey, and when we finally got to the top of the ridge we were bombarded with this dramatic splendor. Apparently, Trollveggen is the tallest vertical rock face in Europe (3,600 ft) from its base to the summit of its highest point. Also, there were a bunch of cute sheep buddies nearby but unfortunately I wasn't able to get...

Leisurely Lounge

My modelographer friend Candace invited me to come visit her at a property she was staying at in Cotati, a town a little south of Santa Rosa. We spent the afternoon catching up and lazily shooting here and there. This hammock was perfect for the vibe of the afternoon. 

The path less traveled

We took the longer scenic route on our way from Utvik to Åndalsnes in Norway and what a great decision it was; we happened upon this breathtaking, desolate little valley.

Once upon a time...

I did a shoot with Ray Mahn. It must have been nearly a decade ago because I really don't remember much. Anyhow, he contacted me recently to send me this very kewl blast from the past! I like the light play, as well as the authentic, straight out of the camera look; feels like an artifact from bygone era 😋

Aquamarine

Norway is full of marvelously blue glacial rivers and lakes all over the place but finding one that was private enough to shoot near was a truly triumphant moment! So here I am, blissing out; I couldn't bring myself to swim in the super cold water but it felt nice to wade around a little bit.

Our first afternoon in Utvik, Norway

We stayed in a cute little cabin right by the Innivikfjord, which is an arm of the larger Nordfjord. We took a drive around the area and came across this lovely little spot off the road, so we hiked in a bit. Although I had come down with a cold and wasn't feeling that great, I couldn't resist the opportunity to get naked and shoot some quickies 😋

Upper Sardine Lake and the Sierra Buttes

I had never heard of this breathtaking area until I saw it on the map near the Tahoe National Forest. We hiked out a bit to avoid the crowds and found ourselves a private little spot. It was a hot summer afternoon, perfect for swimming; Dan just snapped away while I took a delightful dip.

This last weekend we went wine tasting in Central California and stopped in Pinnacles National Park on the way. Although we had to brave the oppressive heat, I was pleasantly surprised by the magnificently unique and conveniently uncrowded landscape. I absolutely recommend a trip out there!

Rustic Bathtub

I shot with my pal Bishop recently, and we realized that he never sent me this mix of film and digital that we did in 2021. He rented this amazing, woodsy home with a big beautiful backyard and garden. We did a bunch of different sets all over the property and I think my favorite ones are in this outdoor tub.
