Antikythera Update

Hey Folks,

I've been working on the Antikythera project for the last few months, with a couple of videos in progress. As always, the work is taking a lot longer than I would like, I expect to have the first of several videos completed soon.

Thanks for your patience, I very much appreciate it.

Cheers,

Chris.

Mate I spent a lot of years in the metal fabrication sphere from die setting in mass production through to sheet metal fabrication and light and heavy vehicle body building both R&D through to limited production runs as well I've picked some basic machining skills mainly lathework so I have a pretty good understanding of cause and effect involving different metals. Why I bring up my credentials is to give context when I applaud your skill sets. Some of your videos show skills that I could possibly emulate but overall I'm in awe of your patience, eye for detail and your digital dexterity. I'm thoroughly entertained by your video's.

Chris! don't play with my emotions like this!!

Thank you for the update, Chris. As always very excited for the next installment. I've especially like ancient tools videos. It really puts into perspective what they accomplished with such limited resources.

We'll be here when you're ready. Take the time to enjoy the process.

Ha ha! On the plus side, hand strength much improved!

Surely a bow lathe that you made yourself is faster and more accurate than any modern tools? Sheesh! :)

Oh, how exciting! I found you through the antikythera project (my novel-in-progress is set in antiquity and one of my characters is an astronomer/astrologer, so I went very far down a rabbit hole about calendars) and followed/joined your Patreon specifically to make sure I wouldn't miss an update to the project - and in the process have learned SO much about metalcraft I wouldn't otherwise have. Fantastic channel and fantastic work - and please, by all means, take your time.

You know we'll wait. Quality over quantity has always been the rule here.
