Hey folks,
The matter of close fitting thin-walled tubing in antiquity has been contentious. Initially argued as not possible by some, it is now a widely integrated but unverified feature of several theoretical models. So, in this video I develop & prove out a method for controlled production of such tubing, using methods suitable to the period - do please enjoy!

Hey Folks,
I am working through the next section of the mechanism and have taken the opportunity to go deep into the detail of the workshop tooling to tell a comprehensive story. The tool suite indicated by the wreckage is considerable, and it’s taken most of the last few months to ‘prove out’ everything and make all the necessary bits and pieces period correct - on a side note, I might be about ready to go pro as a file cutter!

Here is an introduction video for the Rose Engine, a companion machine to the Straight Line Engine. Much like the recent SLE video I have put this video together without narration, as more of a chill out thing. The plate material is fine silver, the pattern is sometimes referred to as 'Escargot' and the pendant is an anniversary gift for my lovely wife. The enamel is from Milton Bridge, 263 Series K62 Jade.
