This month I've been busy updating my Zelda page, and dealing with some holiday matters – like mimicking the social behavior the of other bipeds, smiling, and saying the things. Anyways, my Zelda page can be found on my site but supplied here are also a few 1:1 work resolution images.

I also wrote a short story for the whole silly underpants factory in space post I made a while back. Since I apparently own a largely unused Windows 11 computer I decided to boot it up and try out the Narrator speech synthesizer, and I guess it's useful for proof reading. Got three chapters done-ish so far, in text format. I didn't upload to my Royal Road as it's easier to just plop them on my server. I don't think browsers display the long dash for text file encoding reasons though.

I also started cleaning up one of my Kid Icarus sheets. I really used to love that game, despite its many flaws. For me it was part of the Big Four: SMB, Zelda, Metroid and Kid Icarus. It's mostly forgotten now though.

And to finish this post, I have a small anecdote. I was drawing some random smut with a pencil on a piece of scrap paper. Then I noticed the gray lines slowly turning blue over the week, and then couldn't then be erased. The pencils were "New Old Stock" as they say, from the 1950s. They had been sitting unused forever.

Well, turns out they're aniline copying pens, and poisonous. The idea was that you could apply a moist paper over the drawing/writing, thus allowing the aniline dye to transfer to the moist paper. I tested it and confirmed that it works. They are no longer in production for a good reason – like necrotising limbs needing amputation. Shivers me timbers ~ I'm putting them away!
