More Zoids

I've done some more of these '80s ZOID redesigns. These are posable kits and not windup toys.

Glidoler: I turned the feet into high-heel jet pods, channeling a bit of that Valkyrie Ostrich feel.

Hidocker: I gave this one a bit of a longer neck (could be done by threading neck segments onto a metal wire?). Perhaps it could have some sort of sensor thing on the head.

Hellrunner: I gave this a sniper rifle tail.

The weapons are from the action figure scale of ZOIDS but with some more greeble. I think those were pretty unique as far as weapon designs go. The pilot gun is adapted from the Pegasuros.

Helcat: I gave this a more modern look based on the later cat ZOIDS with the shoulder cooling fins, and chest triple gun module.

The Dront-like Roadskipper was action figure scale, and it's kind of cool I think. for these line drawings I simplify the designs a bit. If one were to "port" it to 1:72 scale then the detail level wouldn't work and I think some ZOIDS are needlessly busy. I think the scale/toyline was called ZEVLE, for ZOIC VEHICLE.

Shotail: It's kind of the same concept as my Hellgunner and the Roadskipper so it feels superfluous. It's sometimes translated as Shotodile or Shotdail but I think it's meant to be shot-tail. the english wiki probably gets some of the Attack Zoid series names wrong.

Gustav is used in the animé for transport and mine detection (the antennas, I assume). It's unarmed, but I gave mine gun hard-points.

The Gojulas is a reference to Gojira/Godzilla I assume. Normally it's standing almost upright but I reposed it and fiddled with the design. Back in the day some conversions were made to put it in this pose. There was this thing happening in paleoart at the time where they kept reposing dinosaurs in books and at some point (1950-1970?) the T-rex stood more upright. Probably made sense for the stability of the toy too. I've added neck hydralics, butt/leg jets, some extra back pins, new legs.

I really quite like the Iguan as is but still messed around a little with the design. It's rather sleek looking and the HMM version changed the design too much for my taste.

This site is a good ZOIDS resource:

I forgot to mention that I've updated a few pages on my site:

http://androidarts.com/comp/KB24_Patreon.htm (Not publicly inked on site.)

http://androidarts.com/palette/Famicube.htm (Made a new keyboard mockup.)

I also finished (building) two of the kits in my gunpla tower so I'm attaching some photos. That's indeed an AB Bang Liger Zoid and it's HUGE compared to the Original European Release ZOIDS I grew up with.
