BTS/Blooper - Physics Girl thumbnail and title meeting

Dianna loved open brainstorming sessions around coming up with titles for videos. She started recording this one because we were having fun, and she always wanted to share more parts of her process with her followers.
In this specific instance Dianna was laughing really hard and clearly enjoyed teasing Kyle about his ideas. I think this video is funny, but also an insight into how we as the team try to take big scientific concepts and shrink them down to more understandable terms.

2023-09-24 13:36:14 +0000 UTCWhat's funny about time crystals... is that when Dianna says "they may not exist in nature" is that you could never check if they did, because by definition a time crystal does not lose energy, that's why it's not just a classical repetitive motion like a wave, but energy that is never lost because of quantum effects, like superconductivity. And so if this DID happen in nature, it would not give off an energy signature, and we could never know, for sure, if there are natural time crystals. Measuring the time crystal would break the quantum effect. I'm not entirely sure about this idea, but I think it holds up. I'm not officially a physicist either, so perhaps I've misunderstood something. Probably not the place to mention this, but I felt like sharing. Hope Dianna is staying strong! If not, just imagine an Ork from World of Warcraft yelling out "my life for the horde!" just before launching into battle. Maybe it would be funny enough to boost her immune system!
