Watch as, like a hamster, I run in circles as I go from wanting to draw beef to twinks to beef to twinks and all the way back again, endlessly. I have ideas for future XVI pieces, but I don't want to promise anything, as that's a surefire way to make sure I just Don't. I'm so sorry.

This piece ended up dragging for me - I wanted to do too much with it, and realized I was just overwhelming myself. Sometimes, you don't need to cram it all into one drawing. You can stop. Finish. Put more into the next one. I went back and forth for a long time on the abstracted squiggles for the background. I ended up deciding the cluttered, busy look would only add to the overwhelming, overstimulating nature of the scene.

I'm really enjoying XVI, and if you have the option to play it, I find its combat to be the polished, bashing fun that XV fell short of, with a narrative that's really captured my heart! While I'll be scuttling onto some commissions before the next piece for Patreon, but I hope everyone is doing well - staying cool if you're affected by the heat waves that have bloomed up across the states. Video is still in the works, zine is a little more up in the air - life is a bit messy (when isn't it?), and the summer, for me, always makes things drag uncomfortably. We can only take life one day at a time. I hope your days are kind!
